The Rinzen Collective
Diplomed of the Queensland College of Art in Australia, the members of the Rinzen (“sudden awakening”) team have furbished their weapons in corporate design and multimedia first. Later on, they launched the RMX projects, a variation on the “exquisite cadaver” in vector illustration, in which each image would remix the previous one. As they apply their visions to illustration, print, web-design, animation and music, their design motto, “Viva la vector”, expresses well enough what the major part of their work is made of.
Flat colors, contrasts and wide spaces would be a characteristic of many of the team’s works. For lack of regular style, each of its members has his own preferences, Craig Redman for rainbows, Steve Alexander for type, or Rilla Alexander for children’s imagery.
To enjoy Rinzen’s works more specifically, head straight to Rinzen.com, where the first link will take you to an animated Flash movie presenting some of their works. As for the current results of the RMX projects, they can be viewed on the RMX website.
