Ragnar
No, not pillaging Drawn’s articles here, although it’s the third time I link to an illustrator they’ve presented. The fact is that, when I find an interesting one, I still think it worth to present him/her on this blog as well. Hence why I’m showcasing Brandon “Ragnar” Johnson today, with his very nicely done website Little Cartoons. Ragnar lives in Southern California with his family, has worked for clients as varied as Nickelodeon, Chronicle Books or Disney, and I can say that the use of the vector tool is an excellent string to his bow. Proof that the tool does not the artist make, but that it can still be pretty useful to further the talent nonetheless. The style is somewhat deliciously retro, yet quite modern and sexy all at once; very appealing, in my opinion.
What’s more, Ragnar also posts the bulk of his work on his blog, Symptomatica. It deserves to be checked as well.
